Current picture of Bellingham lawns

All joking aside, my lawn is about as dead and brown as this picture. Most of my neighbors are like me and let their grass go dormant in the summer to save money, time and of course water. This summer has been particularly warm and dry so almost all lawns in and around Bellingham, Fairhaven, and Ferndale look like mine. Lynden has a bit of a different rule about how people can keep their grass in town proper, so theirs looks much better.

What do you do with your yard and landscaping in and around Bellingham, or more broadly the Pacific Northwest??
