Breaking News!! People are still buying and selling Real Estate in Whatcom County!
The final numbers are in for the Whatcom County March 2020 Housing Market. Like most sectors of the economy, residential real estate has been experiencing ups and downs of uncertainty (just when the busiest spring market was beginning to accelerate).
Surprisingly, housing activity around WW in March showed the volume of new listings during March, surpassed February’s total. Both the pending and closed sales out performed the previous month as well.
Most likely, April and May’s totals will decline a bit, as the impact of the Governors “Stay Home” order will be reflected in those numbers at a greater rate. I am optimistic however, as the market is still active even several weeks into the pandemic.
