All jokes aside, it’s best to be represented by a seasoned real estate agent who can advise you on the best strategies to win a “bidding war”. Remember that your agent should know the local housing market and not only what is most important to their buyer, but the motivation of the sellers as well. Once that is clear, there are ways to present an offer that puts their buyer in the best position to win. Some things might be as simple as a preferred closing date, or even extended occupancy AFTER closing, but there are several more ways I would be happy to share with you when you are ready to start your home search.
